Be A Samaritan Programme

Prevention may be a matter of a caring person with the right knowledge being available in the right place at the right time.

In this programme, you will learn to identify those who may be at-risk individuals, and will be equipped with basic techniques to engage and encourage distressed individuals to seek help and provide emotional support in an empathetic and professional manner.

This knowledge and skill-based basic lifeline programme will encourage the “Samaritans” to be more confident and better equipped with the know-how and bean available lifeline to anyone in crisis.

Participants are required to take part in 2 modules for this programme:

1st: Suicide Prevention 101 Workshop (an e-learning basic knowledge-based workshop)

2nd: #HowRU Workshop (online/onsite skill-base workshop)
