Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
You Asked, We Answered
How much do I need to pay to attend the event?
It is free of charge! While admission is free, you can make an impact by fundraising or donating to support SOS in keeping our services free for those who need them most.
How can I donate to or fundraise for the event?
You can donate via our Spark the Change Giving.sg page or create a sub-campaign to be a fundraiser for us on Giving.sg. If you need more information, please reach out to us at giving@sos.org.sg.
Who can attend the event?
Participants of all ages & four-legged friends (remember to leash your pets at all times) are welcomed. We love having families join us. There’ll be thoughtful activities for young children to help them explore mental health in a gentle, age-appropriate way.
Can I register on the event day?
Yes you can, but the T-shirts & goodie bags are reserved for the first 2,500 participants.
Is there a goodie bag for everyone?
The first 2,500 registered attendees at the event will get a race pack with a variety of freebies, including an event T-shirt for you to change into before you begin the walk or run!
What are the available T-shirt sizes?
The T-shirt sizes run from 2XS to 2XL.
Where can I select my event T-shirt size?
T-shirt collection will be on the event day itself. Come early to secure your preferred T-shirt size!
How do I get to West Lawn, Gardens by the Bay?
The nearest MRT station is Bayfront (CE1/DT16) via Exit B. As the event is on a Saturday, we recommend taking public transport as parking may be limited.
Note: The Circle Line (CCL) starts later at 9am on the event day. From 5am to 9am, Shuttle 36 (HarbourFront ↔ Bishan) and Shuttle 37 (Bishan ↔ Promenade) will be running. However, there are no shuttle services from Promenade to Bayfront, so please use the Downtown Line to reach Bayfront.
Do I have to attend the event from 7:00am to 1:00pm?
Join us at any time. While the walk and run takes place in the morning, the fest will include interactive booths, musical performances and fringe activities that will take place throughout the event. Event-goers can find out more about the suicide landscape in Singapore and play a role to break the stigma and spark the change in the topic of suicide.
Will there be food provided?
Although food won’t be provided this year, you can still enjoy some exciting goodies in your goodie bag — plus a refreshing treat from the iconic Milo Van!
Will there be photography/videography at the event?
Photos and videos will be taken during the event for promotional and documentation purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your image by the organisers for publicity and related materials.
What happens if it rains?
Like life, weather will not always be perfect. And that’s why we choose to be a rain-or-shine event (unless we receive an official lightning alert to halt outdoor activity).
Do I have to wear the T-shirt during my walk/run?
Yes, put on your Spark the Change T-shirt and walk or run in solidarity with the community!
Will bag storage be available?
No, bag storage will not be provided. We encourage you to pack light. You’ll also receive a goodie bag on the event day!
