Spark the Change Fest

SOS's Signature event is back!

The Fear and Stigma Surrounding Suicide
Suicide remains one of the most difficult topics to discuss in Singapore as it is often shrouded in fear, misunderstanding, and stigma. As a result, many, who experience emotional distress, hesitate to seek help in fear of judgement and rejection. The stigma surrounding suicide does not just prevent conversations—it stops people from reaching out for the support they desperately need.
A national survey in 2024 found that over 80% of Singaporeans associate suicide with stigma, reinforcing the critical need to challenge misconceptions and foster a more open and supportive society.
BREAK THE STIGMA, SPARK THE CHANGE
In a society where many still struggle in silence, we believe that every conversation matters. By normalising discussions about suicide and mental wellbeing, we shed light on the shadows of shame and fear that keep people from reaching out. With every shared experience, we create ripples of compassion, understanding, and support. This is our collective responsibility—to let those in crisis know they are seen, heard, and valued.
Spark the Change Fest 2025 offers a safe and welcoming space where people can talk about their struggles openly without fear or judgement. It is a celebration of hope, resilience, and connection, where we stand together in solidarity to show that nobody has to face their darkest days alone.
Breaking this stigma is not just necessary—it is urgent. Join us at Spark the Change Fest 2025, and show that hope is always within reach and seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but of strength.

Due to overwhelming response, registration is now closed.

Talking helps break the silence on suicide. Giving helps build hope.
Your support isn’t just a donation. It’s a spark, lighting the way for someone to reach out.
Donate today. Let your support spark hope where it’s needed most.
