World Suicide Prevention Day 2014

The Hidden Pain.

Some people in distress may hide their pain, but there are clues to how they are truly feeling.

Titled “The Hidden Pain,” SOS’s suicide prevention awareness campaign for 2014 saw a total of 250,000 postcards distributed to youths island-wide. Over 100 secondary schools, junior colleges and other educational institutes participated, distributing one postcard to each of their students.

The postcards used an award winning ambigram which delivered the strong message that we all need to be attentive to the subtle signs of emotional pain among our loved ones.

When rotated 180 degrees, ‘I’m fine’ turns into ‘Save Me’, reflecting how some people put on a façade to hide their pain.
