In response to an increase in clients reaching out to SOS during the Circuit Breaker period, the SOS Care Text was made available to the public on 1 July 2020 and have since received hundreds of chats.

During the first phase of launch, we have observed that the majority of incoming texts through Facebook Messenger occur during the night. As we move into the next phase of our service launch, we would like to better consolidate resources to best accommodate service demands.

As such, we would like to announce the adjustment of service availability (with effect from Tuesday, 11 August 2020)*:

Monday - Thursday
6:00pm - 6:00am

‍and‍

Friday
6:00pm - 11:59pm

*The SOS Care Text will remain unavailable on weekends and Public Holidays until further notice.

If you require immediate emotional support, please call us on our 24-hour Hotline at 1800-221 4444.

If you are at immediate risk of harming yourself, call 995 or approach the A&E department of your nearest hospital.
