For some, the night is a haunting place, where they are left alone with their thoughts as the world around them goes to bed. Making them feel more alone than ever.

Over the past year, we’ve seen an increase in the number of calls made by teenagers into our helpline during midnight to 3am.

This year, we’re reaching out to Singaporeans from all walks of life to contribute a message of support to #ThroughTheNight. Turning a single hashtag into a platform of hope, where those in need can seek comfort and motivation through the words and craft of others.

How you can contribute-
From 10 September onwards, dedicate a post on your Instagram with a message of encouragement and hashtag #ThroughTheNight.
You can also lend a listening ear to those around you and beyond by opening up your Instagram Live Channel.

Creating your post-
‍
These posts can be in the form of an illustration, a poem, an inspiring quote or even a song.
All it takes is a simple message to help someone to get through their tough time.
Post it at Midnight to 3am from 10 to 16 September.

‍

‍Things to note-
‍
Do exercise sensitivity when creating your posts.
Avoid making light of the issue.
Avoid passing judgement like “Suicide is just an easy way out for cowards.”
Avoid provocative visuals or messages.

Together we can help inspire our youths and those around us to get #ThroughTheNight.
