International Survivors of Suicide (ISOS) Loss Day is the one day a year when people who are affected by suicide loss gather around the world at events in their local communities for support and resources.

You are not alone.

In conjunction of commemorating ISOS Loss Day on 17 November, 31 local suicide survivors (family and friends who have lost loved ones through suicide) attended a closed-door event organised by SOS. This event served as an opportunity for suicide survivors to find comfort and gain understanding through sharing stories of healing and hope. It also reiterated the importance of support toward suicide survivors through their grief journey.

Together, survivors watched an American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) produced documentary video titled A Daughter’s Journey. Afterwhich, they engaged in a discussion facilitated by a SOS counsellor.
